CNC LATHE PROGRAMMER
Experience: 5 years minimum CNC machining with 2
years programming experience in a production or job shop setting.
Duties: Review blueprints and customer specifications to ensure
compliance with process capabilities. Plan manufacturing sequence, special
tools/tooling requirements and availability. Write a set-up sheet and production
program to meet customer and blueprint specifications using SmartCam software.
Assist in set-up and debugging of 1st production run to correct program errors
and incorporate cycle time reduction and tool life management techniques.
Provide trouble-shooting assistance on production problems. Maintain machine
program library and tape backups with current updated production programs.
Maintain traceability of machine programs to current blueprint revisions. Work
in a production environment when required.
Requirements: Ability to set-up, machine and
perform 1st article inspections. Personal precision measuring instruments
capable of meeting calibration requirements. Miscellaneous hand tools required
to perform job.
Familiarization with API and premium threads a plus but not required. Knowledge
of SmartCam software helpful.
